At Vamp, we send out two types of briefs to creators: Influencer Briefs and Content Briefs. These briefs serve different purposes and have distinct guidelines, so it’s important to understand the differences before you begin creating content. Below, we’ve outlined the key distinctions to help you navigate each brief type.
1. Influencer Briefs
What Are Influencer Briefs?
- Influencer briefs are designed for creators who will post their content directly on their own social media channels, such as Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube.
- The content you create in an Influencer brief is meant for public sharing with your followers, so it’s typically a mix of organic posts and paid promotion.
- You will be given specific deliverables (such as images, videos, or stories) that align with the brand’s campaign goals.
Where Will Your Content Appear?
- Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube (depending on the platform assigned in the brief).
- The content you create under an Influencer brief is to be posted publicly on your social media profiles or stories, as agreed upon in the brief.
2. Content Briefs
What Are Content Briefs?
- Content briefs are created for content that brands can use elsewhere, but not on your social media.
- The content you produce here is for brand usage only, such as in paid social ads, websites, email newsletters, blogs, and out-of-home advertising (OOH).
- Content created under a Content brief should never be posted to your personal channels or shared with your followers.
Where Might Your Content Appear?
- Paid social ads (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok ads)
- Brand websites or landing pages
- Email marketing and blogs
- Out-of-home advertising (e.g., billboards, transit ads)
- Other brand-owned channels or third-party platforms.
Key Differences Between Influencer and Content Briefs
Aspect | Influencer Brief | Content Brief |

Deliverables | Typically images, videos, stories, reels, or posts | High-quality images, videos, or assets for brand use |
Final Reminder
Before starting your content creation, always make sure you’re clear on whether you’re working with an Influencer brief or a Content brief. Following the correct guidelines ensures that the content is used in the intended way and helps you avoid any confusion regarding where and how to share your work.
