TikTok Creator Marketplace: Troubleshooting

Linking your Vamp account to the TikTok Creator Marketplace (TCM) should be easy. Although, there are a few moments along the way where you could get stuck. Don't worry if thats the case! This article tackles all the known speed bumps and should help you get back on track in no time!

Issue connecting TikTok account to Vamp?

Most connection issues (including switching TikTok accounts) can be resolved by following those steps:

• Make sure your TikTok profile meets the required criteria.

• Once you request to link your TikTok account Vamp's side, be sure to accept the invitation in Tiktok Creator Marketplace. Please refer to this article for a step-by-step.

• If you have already accepted the invitation on TCM's side, your next step is going back to the Vamp app and finishing your application. At this point, it's very common to have caching issues. To fix that, clear your default browser cache. If you're using Safari, you can do so by going to Settings -> Safari -> Clear History and Website data.

• Go back to the Vamp app and try connecting again, it should ask you to login to your TikTok and authorise it.

Can't see “Creator Marketplace” in the Tiktok app?

Only creators with personal TikTok accounts have that option. Make sure you account is not a business account.

How long do invitations for Vamp to TCM take to appear in my TikTok inbox?

Invitations can take up to a couple of hours to be displayed on the TCM side. Make sure to check the TikTok app, click on 'Monetization' on your notifications and accept the invite. 

I have requested to be invited but still haven't received any invite in the Tiktok app.

Business accounts won’t trigger the invite and you need to be switched to a personal/creator account type to be able get the invite. Also make sure that you meet the rest of the required criteria. 

Once I have accepted the invite, how long until I am part of TCM and can connect my account to the Vamp app?

It can take up to 1 hour for your account to be linked and appear in TCM.

I have connected my Tiktok account to Vamp app but the brand is not able to see any of my audience insights.

A few possible reasons:

• Audience insights are updated overnight - if you connected today, just give it a bit longer.

• The brand will only be able to see your audience insights if you are connected to the Tiktok Creator Marketplace (TCM). Make sure that, at the time of your application, you met all the required criteria.
