As a social content creator, the integrity and security of you social accounts is paramount. We totally get that. So when asked to download an app and sync it to your Instagram account, you may have a couple of questions. We totally get that too. That’s while we’ve compiled this list of FAQs to put your mind at rest.
Why do I have to download your app to receive briefs?
At Vamp, we do things a little differently. When we were founded in 2015, the collaboration process between influencer and brand was lengthy and complicated. So we created an app that was designed specifically to do all of the hard work for you. It delivers your brief, notifies you if you’re successful in applying and walks you through the entire process. There’s even a chat function and an automatic invoicing tool. Consider it a personal assistant in your pocket. We need everyone to sign up to the app because that’s how we operate.
Why do I need to have a business account?
To receive Vamp brief opportunities, you must be signed in to the Vamp app with a Instagram Business account, or Instagram Creator account. That’s because, through these accounts, we are able to access information about your audience and performance that lets us know whether you will be a good fit for a campaign or not. It also helps us accurately report back to clients on how well the campaign performed.
For example, if a fashion brand was looking to target women in their twenties in Australia you can prove your audience covers that demographic. Or if an alcohol brand needs to be sure your audience includes followers of the legal drinking age.

What data can you access when I sync my account?
Audience
Vamp can access the same audience data you can see when you tap the ‘audience’ tab in your insights settings. Their locations, age range and gender split.
Performance
For posts - That’s the impressions, likes, comments, overall engagement rate, saves and overall reach. If the post is a video, we can also track views.
For Stories - That’s the view rate and taps forward and back.
Syncing your account does not give us access to your password or personal information and we cannot post of your behalf.
What access do you need to boost my posts?
At times we may request to boost your post or stories content. For this we will need temporary access to your account. We’ll never use this access for anything other than boosting the agreed post or story and we will disconnect the access as soon as the boosting period is over.
We won’t ask for your Instagram log in details. If selected you’ll simply need to add Vamp as a ‘partner’ with our business ID so we can set up and fund the boosting.
