If you have an Instagram business or creator account but still can't seem to connect to the Vamp app this might be because you haven't linked your Facebook page to your Instagram account
If you don't have an Instagram business account yet, follow these instructions.
Step 1: Check your connection between Facebook and Vamp
- Go to Business Tools and check that Vamp shows as an active connection.
- Select "view and edit" to check all permissions have been granted to Vamp. Without these, we are unable to access reporting data for campaigns.
- Click ‘Remove’
Step 2: Check your Facebook Page is correctly linked to your Facebook account
- Ensure you are logged in to the correct Facebook account that your Instagram account is linked to
- Confirm that you have a Facebook page and not only a standard Facebook profile with the professional mode enabled. You won't be able to connect your Instagram creator/business account if there is no Facebook page linked to it. - If you have not created a Facebook page yet, please follow the steps in this link.
- Once the above steps are completed, go to Facebook Pages and ensure the page you have created is visible there
Step 3: Check your account is linked correctly to your Facebook Page
- In the Instagram app on your phone, go to your profile and click Edit Profile > Page.
- In Meta Business Suite, go to Settings in the left-hand menu.
- In Accounts > Instagram accounts, check if the correct Instagram account is connected.
- If no Instagram account is listed then click ‘Add’ and follow the prompts to connect your Instagram account to your page
Step 4: Reset Facebook Login
Desktop
- Go to facebook.com in your browser, logout and then log in to the FB account linked to your Vamp account
Mobile
- Logout of your Facebook app on your mobile phone
- Go to facebook.com in your mobile browser, logout and then log in to the FB account linked to your Vamp account
Step 5: Connecting to the Vamp App
Once all of the above has been set up, you can go ahead to the Vamp App and link your Instagram account to your Vamp Account. To do so, follow the flow below:
- Go to your Account on the Vamp App
- Tap Social accounts
- Tap the Connect button for Instagram
- If you are already logged in, tap Continue. Otherwise, log in to the Instagram account you would like to use
- Select both the Business Account and the Page you would like to use
- Grant the Vamp App access to all permissions to get insights in the app.
If the above does not resolve the issue, try the following advanced steps:
Try connecting through your desktop computer
- Visit https://vamp.me/login
- Log in with your account details
- Go to the "socials" tab
- Click Connect on Facebook
- Follow the prompts
- Instead of clicking "Continue" on Facebook, look for the "Edit Details" option
- Click on "Edit Details" to change the selected Page and Account.
- Take this opportunity to choose the correct Page and Account that you want to connect.
Refresh your connection between Facebook and Instagram
- In the Instagram app on your phone ensure you are logged into the account you want to use, go to your profile and click Edit Profile > Page.
- Select "disconnect page"
- Once disconnected, select 'connect page' and follow the prompts to log in via Facebook and reconnect
- Try again to connect via the Vamp app or Dashboard
Reinstall Vamp App
- Logout of Vamp
- Delete Vamp app
- Reinstall the latest Vamp app from the App Store or Play Store
- Login to Vamp
- Retry reconnecting your socials to Vamp
